Help finding a replacement MB star for my grille?

Hi there, I'm a new member but have used the site a fair bit before for general advice etc.. form other posts so I'm hoping someone might be able to help me?

I have a '55 reg C-Class Coupe SE with Evo Kit. A little while ago now I woke up to find that someone had stolen the MB badge from the centre of the grille!

The middle bit with the black plastic console that has the MB star on it looks to clip in to the centre of the grille, but it's now gone leaving a nice round hole instead!

I've spoken to my dealer but they say Mercedes don't sell the middle bit on it's own and that I have to get an entire new grille, which being the Evo one costs well over £100!

Does anyone know how I might get hold of just the centre bit with the MB star on without having to buy an entire new grille!

Think problem is solved (fingers crossed)

My local independent MB garage called this morning and said that they have managed to source the parts direct from Germany.

Should be in next Tuesday so fingers crossed it will all fit OK and I won't have to replace the whole grille!

Maybe the main parts dealer just wanted to sell the whole grille? Thumbs up to the friendly independent for sorting this out!
