I thought you chaps may be able to assist me. I have been left with the task of selling a few W124's, but honestly do not have a clue about their value.
They were part of my late Uncles Estate, a former member of MB Club.
J602 RTA - SE300L 160K MILES. GREAT CONDITION
G343 VPD - 300E TWIN TURBO - This is really difficult, this exact car was featured in MB Enthusiast September 2006 and has only done 10k since the article was written.
P113 MGS - E320 COUPE - 63K MILES with sun roof, again VGC.
R404 VAV - SL500 - 76K MILES, surprise surprise, again VGC,

Strangely they are all silver. leather interior and very little paper work except from service history,

Any idea's.

Dai.

Can you let me know about the SL500 as I would be interested in that.

Thanks

hi and welcome, could you post some pictures especially on the E320 and the 300E twin turbo. Thanks

As I mentioned, don't have a greeat knowledge, but very clean, will try and up-load photo's tomorrow

I think the 300e is Vlad`s old TT

Damn sight faster than that.

Is fast yes,but don`t think the price is going to be as ho as you might think.A members car was for sale for two years, and I don`t think he has sold it yet
An E260Mosselmann TT failed to go above 1500 on ebay so I`m sorry to tell you not to keep your hopes up

If the cars are in good condition then they are worth several thousands each. However a lack of paperwork does count against them. In unmarked condition both inside and out AND underneath their value increases, but at the end of the day the market decides their value. Price them unrealistically they won't sell. There is a BUYER'S GUIDE on the W124 coupes in the February edition of Mercedes Enthusiast. A perusal of the M E small adds and a trawl through adverts for similar cars on the Autotrader and Pistonheads should help you get a feel for current market prices.

That sounds like a really interesting collection. I think only the 300E and the E320 are 124s (which refers to the chasis number). The SL from 1997 will be a 129, and the 300 SE ( I assume that's what it is?) will be a 126.

Not come accross a 300E twin turbo before.

Was sure that was Vlad`s car http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/gene...cle-my-old-car.html?highlight=300e+twin+turbo

I use this method to put up photos, there may be an easier one.

put the photo on a hosting site, flickr for example
once it is there right click and choose copy image location
paste it into to your post and then type in the square bracket instructions

---pasted url ----- without any spaces or dashes

Or, you could select "go advanced" just under the text box, then go to "additional options" and click the "manage attachments" button. You can then upload your image(s) to the forum directly. :)

Or click on paper clip symbol in advanced reply pane. A new pane pops up called manage attachments. This allows you to upload pictures from your computer

I was right, there are easier methods.

Why not try a couple of the traders who specialise in older Mercedes cars and see what they would give for the collection? Saves hassle if that matters to you and gives you -at the least- a base price to work from. See the Mag for names to try. Or folks here may suggest a few good ones.
