Help! How do I remove this W210 Climate Control display?

Do I need a special tool for the two little slots on the bottom corners or what??

As you would the radio, using the same keys.

You might be able to prise the front covers off and use a couple of thin screwdrivers to release the catches then refit the covers once it's out.

The latches need to be sprung inwards to release them.

How did you remove the radio??

You can buy the MB radio/climate panel keys for something silly like under £1 each from your local dealer.

Otherwise, some other radio keys might do - Blaupunkt/Becker or something - flat ones

Iirc when i did mine i just removed the ashtray and the few screws behind it then removed whole panel leaving loads of room to get climate unit out without damaging anything.
Someone had tried mine before and damaged the temp buttons both sides.

Removed it using some old, flat radio removal tools which I ground down thin enough to fit.
