Hello and welcome .
  • How old is the car ?
  • How many miles on the clock
  • When was the gearbox last serviced
  • Does it drive and shift gears OK/smooth and it's just a noise you hear ?

Problem solved, Park brake cable catching on the prop shaft, broken clips.

I was going to say exactly this after seeing your first post but you said the noise was sometimes evident when the car was stationary in Park. So based on that I discounted the (fairly common) hand brake cable fault.

No problem , it's sorted...and very cheaply . :thumb:
