Hi folks my main drive belt burnt up and broke after investigation I see the ac pulley isn't turning freely and the plan was to use a smaller belt and bypass the ac but not enough clearance of the ac pulley to do this any ideas would be very welcome thanks

The AC pulley won't turn freely as the pump is the type that does not have a clutch; unless of course something is broken and it is very stiff ?

Can you unbolt and remove the AC pulley altogether (and use a smaller belt)?

    OK. Then it is stuffed......
As I recall the AC pulley drives the pump via a rubber isolator, maybe if that was removed the pulley would free-wheel !!!
I think there is something on youtube about that....
But it is all clutching at straws I think.
