Help needed with Mercedes W124 Centre console

To be honest I can't be bothered and they have now closed down I was worried about my car and my AMG bumpers as they had the car for over 1 year and everytime I would go to take the car out they would ask for one more week and with me working all over and accesses to other cars I never chased them but I have been working local for over a month so managed to get it all out and the other garage have already started on the car :D

Not sure of your situation in regards to time etc. But this would have been a terrific opportunity to carry out the job yourself.

If you thought you dont have the ability to carry the task out (which is why you may have got the garage to do it) ability doesnt come in to the equation. Logic and a bit of mental patience is all you need.

In the process you would have learned a lot about your motor and actually appreciate how these 124's and merc's of this era were beautifully built.

Ok so to get to one thing you have to remove 10 things, but its all part of the fun.

oh and you wouldn't have lost anything and saved your bob!

I would have loved to done bits my self but just don't have the time :( plus the car is having a full respray so thought they might aswell do it all for me :)

I have purchased most bits now all I need is the Ash tray and heater control trim in walnut :) gosh this project is costing me quite abit haha :)

I should have them,I`ll let you know tomorrow as I`m not sure I still have the ash trey

Seems they have also lost my door handles which means I have had to buy full set of locks :@

Have most bits now all I need is a Walnut ash tray

Now managed to get a Ash tray thanks guys

Got the bits I needed today in the post and popped over to the Garage to fit them my self :)

Are you fitting a cream interior on the car??

Hi, no the interior is all black leather apart from the glove box which is the only dash I could find which was part black, I will at some point either have the glove box sprayed or replace it which ever I get a chance to do first, I know looks little silly at the moment but main aim is to get the exterior sorted :)

the centre console trim arrived today but when fitting is seems the gear plastic frame surround seems to small this was taken from my other trim p/n: 129 267 0088 it fitted perfect on my last one, any advise?
