Help needed

Bit of a long shot and posted in here as in the bodywork side I didn't get much response re the emblems which I've subsequently sourced. However I'm after a favour if anyone is able to help me out with a tight spot I'm in.

I've recently bought a 2015 E63 AMG Estate, one of the previous owners decided to remove the fendor V8 Biturbo emblem and the rear E63 and AMG emblems off the boot.

I've got a set on order from Mercedes. Appreciate these could have been had cheaper on the likes of eBay yet I want to make sure they are genuine and right ones for the car.

Now the issue is, spacing and location.

Does anyone happen to have the template for the location of the emblems?

Or

Would anyone be willing to use some detailing tape, mask around the emblems and to an outter edge, trim the shape, stick it on a piece of paper and pop it in the post?

Will obviously cover and material and postage costs

Mercedes have suggested these will not come with templates and I'll have to measure f rom pictures.

Hi buddy, you going to the Benz on the Green event on Saturday 13th May which is only a couple of weeks away? If going, can help you stick the emblems.

The emblem kits are equally spaced within the clear transfer backing, so as you peel the sticky side away, it letters sit on the transparent transfer film until your ready to transfer.

In terms of location, I'll post up some measurements with photo but I think if you can make it to BOTG, can help you there.

Took some measurements with a ruler, the biturbo lettering is 4cm from the bottom crease line on both sides of panel. On the left panel, the last letter 'O' is 1cm from the edge, measurement taken from bottom foot of the letter.

The right panel 'V' letter starts 1.2cm measurement taken from the edge to the top corner of the letter.

I realise i have a saloon and not an estate, so you only need measurements from a S212 tailgate, someone will chime in

New (ish) to the forum, albeit been a member for years I've not posted or participated a huge amount until recently. I'm not sure what this event is yet if its close enough it would be good to put some faces to user names

I didn't even know that was a thing, any idea on the option code and I'll take a look at the build sheet.

So first of thanks for all who have chipped in and for any forum member whose previous post I've used to get measurements etc. First of was to tape it all up, fortunately from a post killerhertz mentioned was with a bright light the residue of the previous boot lettering was left behind so once it was taped I was able to measure it out and put locations incase a letter fell off the clear tape. Unfortunately the side vendors did not have the residue to thanks badgx I was able to get it measured and lined up. Really happy with the results and due to the weather I've re used the clear tape to stop any rain water so it has a chance to bond over night.

Means the car will be ready for a proper wash in time foe Benz on the hill

I watched the G wagon video too looks perfectly aligned too and I couldn't have done it any better. Well done mate

Now time to wash and polish that motor
