Help on car insurance quotes

Guys can you please recommend some reliable companies to get quotes from on a 61 plate e350cdi sport, I'm 28 with a clean license, 4 years no claims and license held for 9 years..
Would be very grateful for recommendations..

To be honest, what works for one driver may not work for another. Insurance companies are fickle, and a mile either side of a postcode could mean a big saving or it costing much more.

Yes it's my postcode that's an issue! Ridiculous really as currently crime around here has dropped considerably however a short walk over the bridge and into the posh suburb, premiums will be half of mine or more BUT vehicle crime is much higher!

For the CLK I'm with Hastings Direct, but for the Nissan it has to be a specialist broker (currently Adrian Flux).

It's worth mentioning you're a member of a club to people like Adrian flux; the logic is that is you care enough to join a club and/or take it to shows, then you'll look after it and are therefore a lower risk.

The other thing I discovered when insuring the CLK was that by saying I was a "Scientist" rather than "Analytical Chemist" my premium dropped by ~£50. - So perhaps say that your job description doesn't really fit any of their categories and see if they can find a cheap(er) one that you fit in?

Once you have your best price give the broker Chris Knott a call, they are a really helpful bunch. Both cars are now insured via them and in fact just renewed mine earlier today saving myself £90 on the renewal price (around 20% saving).

Still more than I want to be paying but it would seem I live in Gotham based on the other variables involved [emoji1]
