i have a 1999 W202 and the interior is always humid especially in really cold weather , the windows always have water-vapor on from the INSIDE !!! and its driving me crazy , i was told that there is some kind of ventilation for the interior and mine seems to be blocked ? how can i fix that ?

Sounds like you have a water leak in the car, due to the heater or perhaps your vent pipes are blocked under the bonnet.

Hi,
As previously mentioned sounds like you are getting moisture into the car.
Try replacing your Pollen filter, (approx. £15 and 20 minutes of spare time) if your old one is damp this would normally mean that the drains are blocked and would need clearing access to which can be gained by removing the plastic grills in front of the windscreen and removing the heater box cover.

andy27168 thanx for your help , ill try to change the pollen filter , but how do i clean the drains ? can u provide me some pictures or steps on how to do that ? i would really appreciate it and thanx again for your help :)

Its not hard. As Andy has said you need to start by removing the plastic grill infront of the windscreen. This is held there with a few screws if i remember correctly and is clipped down all the way around. After removing you will be able to see the blockage, most probably on the passenger side (there is also another drain around the centre if the windscreen closer to the driver side, this can also get blocked, so check this too). Clean it out, run water through the drain and check if it flows ok and put it all back together.

Thats roughly how to fix it, no more detail needed as its fairly easy and not hard at all. Take your time and you should be fine.

This will fix the problem with water getting into your car but you will need to dry the inside of the car as there may be quite a bit if water sitting inside the car which will still cause the condensation etc. Doa search on here for old posts on this.

thanx a lot momomo , i really appreciate it , i have one more Q there is a fan this is located under the dashboard on the passenger side , its makes this weird sound every time i click on the rest. button , the button which makes the air circulate inside the car , any clue on how i can access that ?

i will try doing it and let u know what happens

thnx again :)

Yup thats fairly easy to get to and take out. Its the blower motor. I could give you step by step instructions but that would mean id have to write as much a did in my last post.....so im going to direct you to a set of instructions already put together by Shude, unfortunately the pictures have disappeared but the instructions are there :thumb:

Its fairly straight forward. Remove the three screws from the underside of the glovebox and take the whole cover off, then take the blower motor out, clean and inspect it and you may find whats causing the funny sound.
