hi

i am in the middle of changing my head gasket and its all going well except i am having troubles removing the timing chain top guide rail pins. what size bolt do i need to put in them to then knock them out with a slide hammer?

any quick replies will be greatly appreciated.

cheers

I believe its an M8 bolt. I just used a crankcase bolt from one of my old bikes, I believe the rocker cover bolts may also fit.

Don't be too enthusiastic on the first knock, mine came out quite easily.

isn't an M8 bolt too big? i just bought one and it looks too big to fit in the hole

Could be M6 then. Try one of the rocker cover bolts.
