W211 Mercedes E220 CDi Avantgarde in Silver (of course)
Hi Guys,

Could really do with some expert advice. I've just bout a W211 E220cdi but without parking sensors. I really want to buy some rear parking sensors but would like the factory style finish (the factory parking sensors are indented into the bumper and not flush with the bodywork). Any ideas where I could get these from (including fitting) without having to cough up a lot of money getting original sensors?

I don't mind if they're replicas as long as it looks original.

Much appreciated guys :thumb:

The only way you will do that is to buy a bumper or bumper centre section with the sensors and holes in.

There is no aftermarket kit that will sit dead flush.

Thanks for your message Jaymanek,

Is there anyone out there who has pics of a W211 with the aftermarket rear parking sensors fitted please?

Much appreciated.

aftermarket sensors

Bought these for about £30. Its wireless and works off the reverse light circuit. The actual indicator sits on the dash with a little bit of double-sided and the wires are hidden behind the trim and route through to an extra 12V socket I installed a while back. Not had any problems, its damn accurate and has been very reliable. The beeping gets annoying but you can switch it off. Bought on fleabay about 6 months ago, standard silver, blends in very well with 744.

You can get the mercedes style sensors that sit flush or recessed in the bumper. AFAIK only Laserline do them. Their parking sensor kits are not the cheapest but are top quality. Most main dealers fit Laserline for aftermarket parking sensors.

I know someone who fits them in London and surrounding areas if you are down south. Otherwise Laserline can advise you of a local fitter.

Picture below is of a R-Class with Laserline kit. Sensors are slightly recessed as due to the shape of the bumper.

Thanks Mad4Coupes and npuk for the pics and advice, really appreciate it :)

Both look good, but the laserline look great - I'm the west london area so any contacts would be fab...

Thanks Npuk :)
