Help required

Hi,

Having just purchased a nice 2001 46,000 mile CLK55 AMG as my 1st Mercedes, after an interesting collection of previous vehicles, I could do with some info/help with many things but we shall start at the begining.

The car has COMAND but the navigation is as outdated as a 2001 mobile phone.....

What is the easiest way to upgrade this to a more modern operating and mapping system?

Obvious question maybe - but remember i'm now to this Mercedes malarky!

Can't go wrong with Alfie. Your upgrade path will depend on whether you have cd or dvd based unit, I'm guessing cd and mercedes have stopped updating these. That said I run a 2004 version in my c-class and its fine for me, just don't expect what you would from say a brand new tomtom (speed cameras etc) unless you have deep pockets!

I have emailed my enquiry. The navigation is cd based but still pretty elderly, however depending on the depth of pockets required it may actually prove to be perfect!!
