Help: Temperature Gauge Above 80?

Thanks,

Now THIS is strange...

Left her with rear down for a few days, no option I assumed.....

Then yesterday started her up and she raised to the higher normal drive position!!

I've no idea if Mercedes self regenerate like in the movie Christine!!

HOPE SO!!🤣🤣💖💕

THE Coolant to issue.....😁😁

When I started her this morning I did so with the expansion tank CAP off. Within a few minutes loads of bubbles came out of the expansion tank
...

IS this an air lock as I suspected OR am I just getting rather desperate here please??😁😁

The question I'd ask is , does the temperature gauge show around 85c when fully up to temperature after expelling the air bubbles?
If not, it requires a new thermostat, The new ones open at a slightly higher temperature of around 87-90c

My e220 estate engine temperature guage never goes above the 60% mark and never below the 50% line.....

Is that OK or too low please??
Having read this nearly 9 year old thread surely it gave you the answer?
