Help? What is the second disc input on the radio on a CLS 350?

Hi, I have just bought a 2011 CLS 350. The media radio unit has a CD insert, but there is a smaller disc or card reader lower down. Cam anyone confirm what this is? Many thanks

If your car has the newer COMAND NTG4.5, then the lower slot will be small, and it is for an SD-Card.

If your car has the older COMAND NTG4, then the lower slot will be largish and it is called PCMCIA, this is an old standard that is now obsolete but you can buy an adapter that will convert the large PCMCIA slot to an SD-Card slot.

You can use an SD-Card to store music, or to copy musing to the COMAND unit Internal Music Store, or to load Personal POIs to the COMAND Navigation system.
