Am kinda boxing in the toilet cistern and it has just occurred to me the flush lever will be too short. What the heck is the square bar that operates the flush mechanism called so I can search for a longer one?

Just saw something - but £27!!!!!!! 9 inch extension bar.jpg

Search online for:

extended long reach cistern lever.

I think screwfix might have them.

Thanks Darrell. £20 when all I need is a 16cm length of bar! Ah well, it is what it is I suppose.

Measure the flat, you will find bar on ebay.
I've used similar to extend the UPVC window openers, all were too short and a good slam and the thing can't be opened.

Cheers. But what is it actually called? I have searched on square bar, but all I get is industrial stuff

Can't you just buy a length of same size bar and cut to desired legnth?

Or, or, buy a piece of round bar, cut it to length and file each end square
