I took all the trim off to change the number plate bulbs yesterday, but when I put it back together I forgot one bit!
To the right of the boot lock there is a rod that goes in a hole, it has a ruberrised wheel on the bottom and I am assuming from the noises going on that this gets pushed down to open the boot, now as it isnt there it cannot open!
How do I open the boot without it in place!
I can get into the boot by opening the soft top so access isnt too much of a problem!
Thanks
Max

This might not be the correct solution.
This is what I did when my boot would not open with the button on the key or centre arm rest.

On the actual lock on the inside there are some bolt type screws, if you undo them the boot will open as the lock with not be held on the body any more.

There may be an easier way

Alex.

Just after I typed all that I thought hmmm perhaps if I undo those two bolts.....
Took them off opened the boot reinserted the rod and the boot works again!:bannana:
