Hello,

Firstly I don't do car electricals so maybe I should just stop now.

I bought a parking sensor kit and it looks simple to wire in, a control box with a black wire (Earth) and power to reversing light (red)

Well could I get it to work...

I connected the earth to a bolt on the boot and the power to the reversing light (just in the bulb holder) and nothing.

I tested the unit works my connecting it to the side light and the same earth and yes it works?

So what am I doing wrong connecting it to the earth and the reversing light bulb. The reversing lights comes on so power must be getting to the control box.

OOh and after I have blown 2 fuses I have now given up as dont want to make anything worse...

Any help appreciated

thanks:rolleyes:

I assume it is blowing the reverse light fuse. If so the unit must be drawing too much current, which seems odd.

Are you sure you're not shorting the lead out to ground as well when fitting it to the reverse light feed?

I have fitted a few of these, just scotch lock it onto the reverse light wire.
