Anybody be to help on this please? @richard ?

Installing a reversing camera and finally managed to get the NTG4.5 out (dropped a screw of course! LOL) - I understand that I install the fakra into the leftmost socket, but it seems to be occupied already? Or am I missing something? Have the wrong cable? Does it require a hammer? LOL Pics below of the unit rear and of the cable I purchased

One of the greens is the video from the Media Interface (for the rarely used video-aux), the other is for reverse camera. You'll need to find a right-angle fakra to RCA to put into that, and you'll need to code the head-unit for reverse camera.

Ps, possibly too late, make sure you don't unscrew the screws that hold the COMAND in completely, or the bar drops down into the dashboard and that is seriously fiddly to get back out and reconnect the screw ...

Many thanks @richard I did look for a right angle fakra, but no joy. Can I just disconnect the video media interface as I never use it anyway?

May have found one - this it? 51EePdS0bpL._SL1000_ (1).jpg

@KillerHERTZ has kindly put a vid on somewhere about the coding

Yup, you can remove it, and take the shell off the converter you have and hold it in place with some sticky felt. Theres 2 kind of right angle fakra, and the one in your 2nd picture isn't the correct kind to remove the shell and put it in the green shell.

The silver torx screws screw into the top of the vertical sliding bars. If you take the screws out and remove the comand, the bar drops down. So what you're meant to do is screw them back in a few turns before sliding the COMAND out.

- You need to grab them somehow and slide back into position and screw in the screws. If you dont then the radio is loose (and probably won't sit flush). Its something you let happen only once, as it took me half an hour to get the bar back in place - they can drop down and out the side (and you can find them by the carpet on sides of transmission tunnel (it just pulls out from under the side of the centre console). Or if you are lucky, they are just sat there still and you can see them through the sides of the comand hole and push them back up with some thin tool .. Sorry I can't be more descriptive than that ...

Thanks so much for your help Richard. Love this forum!

Total dumb question, but here goes..... Can't I break off the green plastic casing of the cable I have and connect just using the bare fakra?

Yup, dropped one of the screws (no chance of finding I think). Where to get a new one? Just dealer? Whole area is fiddly!

Me too! Anybody have access to WIS/EPC who can get hold of the part number for the screws and vertical retaining bars which accept the screws (as referred to by Richard above) please? Cheers
