Hi everyone, i have just bought my first mercedes a clk 230k. It has the standard 16in wheels and along with changing the springs to an eibach pro kit i would like to fit either 17 or 18 wheels. Any suggestions?

I have looked on ebay but i am baffled as to which will fit. I would prefer to get a staggered set up to.

Would these fit?

Thanks Ollie.

Have you got any pics of them on the car? I think looking at thew car today it really needs 18's to fill the rather large arches!

Cheers mate, would i have to change bolts or do they also fit?

Are they genuine ?

I like those twin spoke 18"s - very nice, if they are geniuine.

If there not i wont be getting them but will see.................

I'd be concerned that running 18's on a CLK will ruin the ride. I've got 17" AMGs on mine and I'm glad it's Elegance spec as I think it would be too harsh otherwise.

Just my 2p.

Just come from a lifetime of hot hatches and sport coupes so im not too concerned really want the looks to be honest but i can always go smaller if there too harsh...

We run 18's on our blue 430 and they are ok . We also have a set of 19's for it , and they are NOT ok !

Amazing how the extra inch makes the difference between a firm but comfortable ride , and a proper miserable ride.

I always work on the basis that the biggest wheels that they put on a CLK from the factory were 17's .... there must be a reason for this ;).

Thought the AMG's came with 18's?

Nope , 17's ... with 225/45/17 on the front and 245/40/17 on the rear .

I have them on my car ...

They look just right in 17's hope ive not mad a **** up getting these 18's!

Here's the blue one on 18's ( genuine BBS splitties  ) , note the gap between the top of the tyre and the arch. It's the same as the red one on 17's , but because the tyre profile is smaller , it makes the gap look bigger ....

If you go big wheels/low profile tyres , you need to drop the car to close the gap . It's an optical illusion , but you want to avoid the 'on stilts' look ( which we clearly haven't ;) )

Incidentally , this one sits on 235/35/18 all round.
