My 2011 ML has recently started to think it's run out of fuel once the gauge drops under 1/4 of a tank (between 7 and 10 litres of fuel left). Looking at the shape of the fuel tank, it looks like it may need a secondary fuel delivery pump to move the fuel to the main pick up!

Has anyone else suffered from this issue? And if so how did you resolve it??

are you saying the fuel light comes on or that the engine cuts out because you have run out of fuel.
If the fuel light is coming on with 10 litres left in the tank, that would be normal as the reserve part of the tank.
