Here is what has been the best recorded mileage returned in my 55 plate C180K Sports Coupe, petrol and driven in 'c' comfort mode. The journey was about 40 miles to Harrogate,on a warmish day, which will help. The actual mileage was actually 48.3mpg - but by the time swmbo, had figured out how to take the picture with the new camera/phone,whilst idling,it had lost 1.1mpg off the clock - whats the best other members have managed - incidentally I only use standard Shell Unleaded petrol - and whilst I experimented with the higher octane grade for a couple of months, the benefits were not really there.

I've hit 40mpg in my C180K - its a 2004 though so I'll blame the age gap on my seemingly poor mpg!

misleading title

its miles per gallon not milage was expecting to see that your car had just clocked 300,000 miles

It's diesel but this IS mpg!!..

Managed to get 56mph today, approx 132miles up and down the M6 and much cruise control at 60mph - still not bad !:bannana:

Now 56 MPG would have been good. But 56 mph is hardly worth mentioning.:D

Well for a petrol driven kompressor, with an advertised combined millage of 37.4 mpg - I think that is pretty good - I know there are more efficient petrol MBs out there.

Well i managed 29.3 mpg over 240 miles for the journey back from Cornwall today :o

I managed this in a Mercedes yesterday. Not really very special.

Until you know it was in an monster 4x4 ML:eek:

Thats remarkable.
Going back to my early driving days in the late 1960's, average MPG in my Morris 1100 was about 32.
Even my little 875cc Hillman Imp rarely bettered 36mpg.
That was in the days when the supercars of the time like the AC428 and the Jensen FF would struggle to reach 10mpg.

Yes, we still have supercars today which return similar figures....most of them have AMG on the back:eek: (Runs for cover...)

Today I am mostly driving a 1.2 punto. My regular commute to leeds averages 38-45mpg depending on traffic in the merc. The punto? 33...
