Just back from our annual winter fortnight R & R in Lanzarote - a destination like Marmite, you either love or loathe. (Our 12th visit )

Anyhow, Porsche were presenting their new Boxster and Caymen ranges and some 80 cars tore around the island. Wish I could have recorded it when the gentlemen were requested to start their motors!

Hi Derek, take it the C3 was cr4p. Had a fiat panda on holiday and it was dire, it was the one commiseration for coming back was a nice car to drive.

I love Porches imagination out of 80 cars they are either yellow, blue, red or white. I'd imagine a boxster over there with the roof down would a lot of fun

You're onto something. Ever wonder why driving may be so bad in London (in the "city"), and its because they all have red Porches (well they did before they lost their jobs).

Not at all - it's a gutsy wee thing with a very sweet gearchange. I've had a range of motors out there - another C3, Corsas, a Yaris and a Seat
but the Matiz... that really was the pits!

And what do you want for £180 for the fortnight and petrol at 0.69 euros a litre!

Didn't see them, but I was told there was a squadron of back and silver 911s tearing about as well.

I had a Honda Jazz when i was in South Africa, for three weeks.

We drove about 35000 kms, it's a very long time since i drove a small car and if i ever had to buy one that will be the car for me.

Fantastic, the most comfortable seats i have driven in for a long time just like the W221 could not fault it.
