Was having a look at the pulleys on 220 diesel and noticed there is more movement than Id expect from the Tensioner Pulley and a bit of noise .

Is it a straight forwards enough job to replace the tensioner pulley ?

Where is the best place to buy a tensioner from { obviously Not Ebay} ?
Thanks in advance Tilt.

Have you checked all the pulleys for wear or movement ? If you drop the belt off and have a good check of the others you may find you need to replace other stuff. I think you have to buy the complete tensioner unit, when I did mine I found wear in all the pulleys and changed everything including the belt.

Thanks everyone for the helpful info .
Trickythemerc That sounds like a decent idea .
Can I ask the rough cost of the parts ? There are a few pulleys .
Tilt.

Depends where you buy them and if you want genuine stuff, I went with SKF for the pulley and belt kit. Used a genuine MB water pump and SKF again for the alternator pulley.
