Bit the bullet and got a CLS 350 cdi 2 weeks ago. Metallic Grey with a Grey interior. Included loads extras, vented seats, Memory and lots more. Great Drive. Brings a smile to my face every time i drive it. Mercedes gave 3 year warranty and 3 years servicing in the price. 8/12 old and 8000 miles on clock. must of been a xmas car.
...congratulations (the CLS320 and 350 are bassically exactly the same) 350 is a tad better so great buy and a lovely car

What is the difference ? why is 350 better ?
I am also trying to find out the diff.
I can see the CLS got a facelift, looks a little different from about 58 plate.
But I can't see find the diff between the 320/350 cdi ???
Any info most welcome.
I am very keen on getting a CLS and intend to keep it for 5/6 years, I do about 12/14k miles per year.
If the 350 cdi is better on fuel ? I may adjust spend to get the 350 ???
For me, it's a shame the CLS did not have the 2.2 cdi fitted a few years ago, the new CLS 350/2.2 cdi is very strong on MPG.

Makes some sobering reading.
I am well aware that MB has history of poor servicing trends, the stories I heard were little work being performed on cars unless owner was well up to pushing and pushing and had loads of time/effort to waste, it was a great shame, but MB found it a very cost effective way to operate, am told things hav got better, but my guess is very hit and miss on good servicing/customer care, am I right.
My plan on servicing will be best recomended MB garage up to 3 years old, then a specialist garage.
Now, from reading the link, it appears many people use those super Diesel fuels at even more cost, I assume these CLS320/350 cdi can use any Diesel fuel, yes, no ????
Reading the post in the link about MB buying back a year old CLS 350 cdi due to problems, it would be fun to pop in to the MB show room selling it and trying to get an honest reason how this car is avail for sale, could be worth buying it and selling it back to them later if car has not been sorted out.
The more I read about the CLS cdi, the more I keep thinking about the 520d (177) option ?????
.Sorry I didn't mean to put you off the CLS.
I'd go for a CLS with the older 320 cdi engine as it doesn't have any of those problems.
