Hi anybody have problems after filling add blue , EML light came on and add blue alert not going off

    I have never had to top mine up but from reading other posts it seems that you need to put a reasonable amount in and it takes a little while to register.

    There is no float as such but a sensor (or at least it is on mine)

    Hi it took about 8 litre , Merc guy changed add blue module today after roughly 10 mile EML back on and now add blue alert back on , going back in tomorrow

    Maybe the sensor needs recalibration, that was the issue with mine from new when I had this problem.

    Just a thought to bear in mind.

    Well the Merc specialist ( cough cough) just rediagnosed the add blue pump after £260 plus £50 diagnostics , the pump comes in at £560 plus the vat of course ,I have lost confidence in him , now booked in with the Merc stealers on Tuesday

    Prob overfilled it, will need draining then a prime and pressure test carried out i would imagine

    It was Halfords brand , but have been told it doesn't really matter the brand

    The engine management light came on first then 8mile on , the add blue alert 493 miles engine not possible to start came on , the EML WAS first so obviously a fault had developer
