Yep, the 2 SLC's that I posted were both 5.0 cars. The Ikon Gold Car was #1143 and the Black car (originally Anthracite) is 2526 out of approximately 2700. The earlier cars which were called the 450SLC 5.0 had the prototype engine which was an alloy version of the M117 4.5 block mated to the 3 speed automatic. The later 500SLC's used the same engine and transmission in the 500SL / SEL / SEC.

I still have an inca red 450SLC 5.0 sitting in my building , waiting to get my attention. I kind of regret selling the Ikon gold car. I put a lot of effort into it.
