Ordered my first MB, a white CLA 35, a few months ago and looking forward to taking delivery early next year (after some delays).

Excitement got the better of me and have signed up (maybe slightly prematurely). Looking forward to reading/contributing to the forums.

Anybody else ordered/received one of the new CLAs?

Hi, am sure there is no better way to enjoy anticipating your new purchase

Nice one! Ridwan, sounds like a nice motor. :D

welcome ! i assume you've watched all the online cla35 videos (twice over in some cases) ?

I'm a big fan of little engine AMGs having owned one previously. the technology in these new A and CLA class cars is incredible.

what options did you go for if you dont mind me asking ?

Of course - I've run out of new ones to watch. After a while I had to start re-watching given that there were no new ones after September.
I've just gone for solid white paint with the premium pack. The only thing that I really wanted in the premium plus pack was the electric seats but couldn't justify the extra cost of the whole pack just for that. I did want the Adaptive Damping system but unfortunately it was slightly out of my budget.

sounds good. I remember those fond days of watching videos constantly while waiting for my car to be built:)

if you are going to be doing a whole load of long motorway journeys then distronic plus / adaptive cruise control is simply incredible, but if not then it could be big waste of money. The dampers on other models do make a difference but hopefully this car will be fine without. I dont understand why adaptive dampers aren't standard on a 35.

There will be a quite a bit of motorway driving but not too much. Also, I don't tend to use cruise control much (only in average speed zones) so don't think I'd get much use from that. Just had another look at the price of the dampers - I remember them being more expensive for some reason. At £695 I may try to see if I can add them.

Is there a particular reason why you think the dampers are more worthwhile on other models?

definitely, aside from the possibility that on some cars, dampers dont make much of a difference , but I'd have certainly kept my gla45 a lot longer if it had adaptive dampers. It didnt and that really annoyed me as in comfort mode on the motorway and A roads , the car was too bouncy. My C63s on the other hand that does have adaptive dampers , allows me to always drive in sport or sport plus or race , but tone down the stiffness sometimes and it makes a big difference to the ride quality. The opposite is true when I'm doing a 500 mile road trip and want to carve A roads in sport mode to save fuel and reduce wheel spin ( but with dampers in stiffest setting to give the best handling ) or on really crappy bumpy roads turning the dampers down to the softest but keeping throttle in sport etc. It looks to me like you enjoy driving passionately and a performance exhaust and dampers would be first on my list for that purpose:)

Usually with builds , there is a lock in date a couple of months or so from the build eta and you can change the spec up as much as you want up to that point.

Hello and welcome. I too have my first MB also in white. Coming from a black car, its just as bad for looking dirty
