I recently bought a CLS 320 2005 and everything was fine for a few weeks until all the controls on the steering wheel stop working including the horn and I have no idea what caused this ,and I’ve checked all the fuses with no results, can anyone help me with this.

Hello and welcome, I'm sure someone will be along soon that can help

Welcome aboard, what has happened recently with the car,has the battery been giving trouble

Hi and welcome 👍

Well you may need to buy a new battery, you can try and trickle charge it,but the main reason I asked if you had a problem with your battery was if you jump start the car this can damage things, does your car have the two batteries the big one in the boot and the starter battery in the engine bay,if so make certain the boot one is fully charged.

If you need local help, Neil in NMG at Derriaghy is your man. He is a Merc specialist and a super guy to boot.

Oh and welcome.

D

Welcome :)

Does sound like a battery issue.

Thanks for that information I will check it out , I have heard this mentioned before, that a low charged battery can cause problems in these cars

Thanks to everyone for the help and advice, I fitted a new battery, the small one in the engine bay and everything returned to normal, you should see the big smile on my face . Thanks again

Welcome along David, glad you got sorted.
I can't comment on NMG, but I can definitely recommend Creevy Auto's for anything Mercedes.
