I just bought my first ever Mercedes. A C class 1.7 petrol automatic. It had 81400 on the clock, and for 10 years old, still drives wonderfully.
I'm trying to put photos up, but for some reason it's not letting me.
Anyway, she's had a real good run out (as as result of the Christmas engineering works on the railway!), and to coin a phrase, goes like **** off a shovel. But is so smooth.
To make it short, I'm in love.
I do have a few questions though;
Firstly, is there any point in changing the head and tail lights to LED? Or will it take away the look of her? Do they actually sell the LED lights for these cars?
Is there any suggested tips on keeping her running like new, other than the obvious of getting her serviced (which is planned in April!)
And, if there is anyone from around the Sussex area, that can recommend a good mechanic I can use?
Happy new year to all anyway [emoji1]

Hi Tommy, welcome to the forum from another Brightonian :thumb:

There is an independent Mercedes specialist in Brighton, but I've never used them, so cannot comment. For my last MOT I used Patcham Garage, because they are local and have very good reviews (I was happy with their service).

For anything more specialised I have used PCS in Horndean, as Olly (BlackC55), is a forum member and comes highly recommended from other members on here (and myself). His garage did a transmission fluid change for me and sorted out an alarm issue as well.

Horndean is about an hours drive away, but in the summer it's a very pleasant drive along the back roads with the top down :D

Anyway, enjoy your new car, if you need any more advice/help, just post it up, there are lots of helpful people on here :thumb:
