To be honest i considered the GL420 but for my family and i we actually didn't need that much space as the ML covers us well. From a value point of view though, i think they're both on par, however, i have been blessed as my ride has a kleeman tuning box and is fully Brabus kitted which was definitely the sway in my argument over which one to buy
