Hi, little bit about my self, my names Peter 27, im a welder from the lake district,
at the moment i have a bmw, but im on the look out for a pre 2000 SLK,
as with most of them rust worms seem to like them, so havnt bought one yet. and its scary to think of buying a 2.5k car with rust on it! :crazy:
few of my past cars are -
renault 5 gordini
renault 5 gt turbo raider
fiat coupe

Sadly many MBs of this era do rust, but if you find a good one you will enjoy it.

That, or save up for a newer (post 2002) car....

bought my self a 1998 SLK yesterday in silver, very cheap but has fantastic history and only a few jobs to do,

If you can stretch to it the V6 is the one to have. Check the operation of that folding metal hood very carefully. Hope you find a nice one. There are quite a few good examples still around as many were used as second cars for fine days and holidays.
