hope to be able to get a decent one soon and spend some time in a new 3 pointed star community

Good choice - my last car was a C43, loved it to bits. They're getting on a bit now so finding a minter will take time, but if you're prepared to do the legwork there's still a few good'uns about. "C43AMG" who posts on here was talking about getting rid of his a while back, I don't know if he's still got it. I've not seen it myself but everyone who has says you won't find a better one..

i want the right car so patience it will have to be...will have to resist my natural urges to get one now !! lol

my friend had one for 4 years..bought it at 2 yrs old..was an absolute belter..v plate 2000..never had an ounce of trouble with her...

the chap he sold it to derestricted it and blew the g-box up at 170mph...travesty and he ruined a great car..ah well

You'll never see a nicer one than Peters ( C43 AMG ) , up for just under £9k IIRC ... but it is proper mint ..
