Hi my name is Carl had mercedes cars for long time of & on but thinking of getting CLK 230 or 320 (98 to 2000)had some left hand drive cars but my last ones was C240 then E320cdi but kept getting damage where the wife park it at work as was not using it as i was driving my van most of the time...

Personally, I would go for the V6 320 - nicer to live with and similar in fuel consumption as the 230(K). Or you could go for a diesel? 270 perhaps?

The OP is thinking of getting a W208, so diesel is not an option.
