Whats next?

Its a never ending addiction :D. I want a cup holder next. Also getting a Becker Mexico Pro fitted this Saturday. Can't wait :)

i bought some SLK alloy pedal covers like on high-lows car of Ebay not so long ago, but the pedals on the w124 are slightly different so they don't fit..... :(

They are sitting in my fruit bowl on my table at the moment, if anyone would like to give me the £10 that i paid for them (they are for an auto, three of them, accel. brake and footbrake) they can have them, there's no screws to fit them, but these are pennies.

PM me if you are interested .

If you bought them off ebay, are you absolutely sure they are the genuimne SLK ones? Usually they are fake AMG ones on ebay.

Anyway, if they are the real ones, they will fit your W124... you just need to take the whole rubber/metal cover off the accelarator pedal and use it to replace your existing one one your old pedals. The rest slip on easily.

The metal accelerator pedal is too short for the plastic one on the car , the brake has the wrong curve, and the footbrake is too long, if you were to screw the top holes onto the footbrake , the bottom hole would be off the bottom of the pedal. I just cant get them to fit ( i have taken all the rubbers off first)

The pedals were bought off some random guy on ebay, who had bought them but not fitted them , not the canadians who peddle (sorry) the fake AMG pedals .

Heres a piccy
:(

they don't look right to me :(

Ah........... i see where you are coming from Pammy, upon closer inspection of High-Lows car, the pedals ARE different...

Well it looks like i shall have to put this one down to experience, the guy has obviously bought these pedals, tried to fit them and they don't fit, so he's thought "bugger this, i'll offload them onto some mug" (that would be me)

Oh well you live and learn, Mr Dewdney sir, would you like some alloy pedals for your hillclimb project...... (for free) :)

I second that - cars looking great - have a narna :bannana:

Its an AMG limited edition fruitbowl !! :bannana:

Its a soapstone fruitbowl, to the best of my knowledge it has never had any fruit in it, at present it has :-

A pair of sunglasses
3 stickers, RNLI, Envronment Agency, Rock sailing club
Alloy Pedals
A remote control for the TV
Some Business cards
A small tub of Vaseline ( don't ask)
Some mints
A Jelly baby ?!
Keys, Wallet, Watch
Laptop cordless mouse
and a Beermat ?!?

Must clear it out soon, anyone else got a fruitbowl like this ?

at the risk of being boring..........High los car in the gallery is looking good isn't it!;)

Yeah very nice indeed !!! just got sidetracked ......

Thats Ok ! Feel free to start a fruitbowl thread in Off Topic!

Hi Lo's car and mods look cool, or cwl as we say in Wales.

Where did yer get the clear side repeaters from? I fancy a set for myself.

Howards' odd peddles look like a set I mistakingly got off eBay, thinking they were the genuine MB items. They simply screw onto the existing black peddle rubbers - quite dangerous actually 'cos they come loose  - I binned them and got the pucker MB ones from the dealer. :)

Thanks for everyones kind words :)

I got the side repeaters from ebay.de seller 'Powerstyling'. Be careful though because it didn't fit my pre-facelift properly without tweaking. The connectors holding the side repeater bulbs has three lugs but the units I got only had grooves for two so I had to file down a couple of extra 'grooves' to make it fit. Even with my tweak it still doesn't twist all the way but enough to hold it together. Maybe the connectors on the facelift are slightly different?
Also he seems to charge flat rate shipping of 15 Euros. I got my Avantgarde grille from him as well and got charged 15 Euros but was a bit surprised when I bought the clear indicators as I got charged 15 Euros again.

With the SLK pedals being so cheap from the MB Dealer (under £20) I wouldn't bother looking on eBay. Get the real McCoy
