Get in touch with Mercedes at Milton Keynes, they are very helpful with regards service history. Even with comprehensive service history, the car is probably worth more like £4-4.5k. At £6k you are not a million miles away from buying something a touch older that has a more manageable mileage. £6-7k should buy a 2003 E320 cdi with around 100-150k. For a free, true valuation try whatcar/valuations, they tend to be on the money

310k !! That's a serious amount of mileage! My '04 has only done 55k so far, nice to know that there's another 250k miles left in it.

FMSH.

So the owner spent at least £10k on MB servicing. I wonder what it would be worth without dealer services?

sorry - I know I have a thing about high mileage (and that I still class 100k as high mileage) and that well love (on this forum) cars which have a billion miles on them - but surely this car is worthless? surely? - I mean it has three-hundred-thousand miles on it!

sure, it could go on for another 100K+ - but equally it could be yards away from catastrophic engine failure.

to be considering paying £6k for it is mental! - £600 maybe, but then only if it had a nice interior that could be sold for parts

6K is a crazy price....for the owner its a great deal, but for the buyer its Russian Roulette time!!!!......for me to contemplate such a purchase the price would have to be significantly lower.

Its fair to say that the days of cars being clapped out by 100k are long gone and any car built in the last 10 years is capable of covering 300k if looked after (as says the main man at Glasses Guide and I dont doubt him having driven some mega milers which still felt fresh at 275k+), but you do shorten the odds of something major needing replacement as the mileage goes past 250-300k.

Saying that a W124 300D that gets serviced at my local Indi has 600,000 on the clock and in all of those miles the only major failings have been an autobox at 275k and a head gasket at 325k

2004 car thats done 300K miles plus. Its been doing 50k a year. Not an impossible milliage to have achieved.

A good inspection of the car would reveal all. Its been a chauffer car, going up and down motorways and such like. It won't have been harshly driven.

I would pay nearer £4k for it not £6k

My father is selling a 54 plate E320 CDI - I used to own it from new. It has 134,000 miles, a massive specification, and it's up for a similar price, with over half the mileage.

I paid for it to be main dealer serviced for the first 60k miles, and I think he's done the same. So - perhaps consider this instead ?

Hi do you have further info regarding car colour spec and contact details or pic

Thanks

Mark

Hi could you give me contact details regarding car or information

thanks

I think it’s way too expensive at that price.

There was one for sale on here that was older (52 plate I think) and may of only been an E2270CDI but price was only about £5k and it had done about 100k miles.

My E320CDI (54 plate) has done 180,000 miles and runs really smooth (after all the help off of here!)

A freind of mine used to chaufer airline pilots from airport to airport had an E300 Turbo Diesel about the same age pro rata with 250k on the clock, about 95% motorway miles. Price may be a tad high, but I would certainly consider it.

My 320 is just coming up to 160k and although I have spent a little time sorting some niggling bits, it drives superbly.

I would certainly check suspension components especially springs and see if any items such as the turbo have been changed.

If it has a comprehensive history then it certainly shouldnt be dismissed.

My brother does 55K to 60K a year in his car so the millage adds up pretty quick,

I guess if its his businees car then it needs to work hence probably very well serviced etc.

Myself would probably add a few more pennies to get half the miles :)

Dads bought a new E320cdi estate back in 2003 and his has around 130K miles on it, I guess thats worth about 7 to 8k now?
