Strange thing with my W245 B180 Cdi. When the engine is warm, if I have a high temperature set on the internal heater of the car, the engine tick over at 1000 rpm, normal setting engine ticks over at 750 rpm. Is this normal?

Not sure....could it be to raise the temperature of the coolant, or perhaps to increase the voltage output from the alternator to keep up with increased fan speed.

Not sure for B class , might be connected with the heater setting but when my old ML was ticking over at 1000 up to 1200 revs at times , normally 700 , it needed a new throttle pedal ( easy to change , plug new one in and all back to normal )
