A gorgeous example, being sold by member aka$h.

I love the stitched leather.
Chrome AMG exhaust tips would finish it off perfectly, IMO

Is it really worth £25k?

A 2002 Silver Arrow with 48k miles (ebay item 121083295491) and Kleemann or Weistec blower, or even 55k swap, is a much more interesting car for very similar money.

I don't think that *******ising a silver arrow would do much for its resale value.

I think it is lovely and whilst £24k might seem like a lot now, I suspect that in 10+ years time it will seem like chump change for that particular car.

You would have to have the space for it as a long term investment though.

Minor gripe being the non matching CD storage in the centre console.

We're advertising it in behalf of a club member, KLP92. He bought it a couple of years back and has spent a significant amount on it to have it restored it to its former glory. Apparently it used to belong to Ron Dennis, which would explain the high spec.

£24k as a long term investment in a tired car that has to be stored and maintained similarly to a museum piece in a hope that it will return at least what's been spent on it? There are better ways of turning £24k into more cash.

Supercharger can go in and out and actually holds its value even better than the car. My ML looked the same before and after the conversion, no *******isation.

EDIT: Just to make it clear, I'm not having a go at this particular car or the seller. If I bought it would be for driving, not admiration. Which seeing as it's done 60k, other owners did as well.

I think it's a superb example but agree if I spent that sort of money on any car, I would drive want to drive it and not have to worry about keeping it in a 'museum'

Lovely car, KLP has had it a couple of years now and looks in great shape... Only thing missing is pano roof I think?

The website mentioned in the ad. ("See w w w .synergymotors.c o m for more images") is a car dealer in the US :dk:

Why is this a tired car with only 60k on the clock?

Because for an investment show piece (I made my comment in reply to that) 60k is a lot. For a daily driver 60k is nothing of course.

I think it's a lovely car, and obviously it's worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for it. Not sure I've seen an SL60 with ADS before, which must make it almost unique.

But. £25k is a lot of money, and rarity doesn't always equate to value. I'm obviously a big R129 enthusiast and would ideally love an SL60 but to me it's simply not worth the huge premium compared to a really nice 500.

Interesting to see it's priced the same as two R230s they are selling - a 2005 SL55 F1 Performance Pack with similar mileage, and a 2003 SL55 with just 26k miles.

Knowing both KLP and A$ash im sure there will be some movement in the price. They wouldnt want to price it too low otherwise it will attract the wrong person.

The suspension perhaps not so rare ...
MERCEDES BENZ SL60 AMG Mega Spec For Sale (1997) on Car And Classic UK [C419061]
More money than the original posted though!

That's a LHD. That company seem to specialise in imports.

The OP posted car is very nice although I wouldn't fancy the ADS. Also imo, it needs a panny roof. I note the advert specifies a sun roof which seems a bit odd.

As far as price goes, I think it's very much priced to sell. I've been keeping my eye on 60 prices and I have to say, if I was in the market for one, I'd snap this up. I've seen a lesser cars go for quite a lot more money. You could drive this one for five years and sell it a profit.

gorgeous car right colour for me!! defo needs a panny roof. ive got a pano roof still.just incase.....
