He is actually correct about the longer the wheelbase the easier it is to drift.
Below is a car we built about 10 years ago, and as the engineer it was my 'reward' to be the very first passenger round Brands Hatch. The fact that the driver was in front of you didn't spoil the view or the ride. Most of the time you could see where you were going out the side!
