He is actually correct about the longer the wheelbase the easier it is to drift.
Below is a car we built about 10 years ago, and as the engineer it was my 'reward' to be the very first passenger round Brands Hatch. The fact that the driver was in front of you didn't spoil the view or the ride. Most of the time you could see where you were going out the side!;)

I used to own this hearse, quite often had it going sideways in the wet. :D

Car looks like a death trap to me. You certainly had to think outside the box when you purchased that puppy.
