horrible green stuff on headlights

as in the title my headlights have gathered up green and like a dirty rought texture on the glass
i have tryed polish as in .auto glm .mer .t-cut . and it wont come of i can feel its on the out side not on the inside but this makes the car look horrible
help please

Assuming your headlights are the typical new car polycarbonate types, the covers are probably hazing. It happens a lot here in Australia.

Basically you need to finely sand and ultimately polish them back to a smooth and shiney texture. IIRC, there are kits you can buy to correct it. Perhaps, try google.

okay cheers i will try this when i have the bottle to do it . and all i no is mine are made out of glass not like the newer ones that are plastic
