horrible vibration when cornering

I'm new to this so I hope i do it ok, when going round left hand corners i get a horrible vibration coming through the car i think it is on the right hand side but not quite sure, it all seems ok when going round right hand corners. I hope someone might know what it is and it's not something serious. Thanks in advance.
I didn't put on what car it is. It's a 2003 c270 cdi

Secondly is there any noise associated to the vibration and did anything happen in between it being ok and now?

First of all check your wheels nuts for security NOW, then if all OK you can look for other things.

First thanks for replying there doesn't seem to be any noise coming from anywhere, I hit a pot hole on my way home which didn't seem to make any difference until I hit another the next morning then that's when it started it seems to be getting worse. First thing i checked was the wheel nuts.

Down to the local tyre place to check the wheels for a buckle and the suspension while its off for any obvious damage..........
