Hi, just wondered if anyone knows a good new method for sealing a rubber hose end on to a tube, besides the little hose 'O' clips.

http://www.wrightsautosupplies.com/page.php?currentpageref=779
about half way down.

I need to redo an end on a power steering hose. Usually hydraulic hoses have a crimped end, and I know from years ago I used to use a hand tool / pump thing for making up fridge pipes, which are the same if not higher pressures. Trouble is cant remember what it was and can only find large crimping machines.
What do people use nowadays if they do?

What about taking it to a hydraulic place pirtek or similiar assumings its a pressure hose, if not a clip should do fine:)
How much is a new hose? if car olde than 7 years you can get a discount card, off mb.

Just dug out card (Mercedes Benz Kent 7 years plus club) to be honest i thought it was all mb dealers might be worth a phone call though?

All they wanted was car reg and my name address

Only phone numbers on the card are the 4 dealers in kent so may just be a local thing.

Well thats good to know, but the hose for now is a one off. But I dont like to be reliant on someone else. I know there's a tool to do it and I want one.
Did find this, not the same but maybe someones had experience.
