I wish I was more disciplined to write reviews on hotels I have stayed at on sites like that, as I frequently read them prior to deciding where to stay, particularly abroad.

What amazes me is the difference and wide variation in people opinions. Like they are staying at different hotels! Variations include basic errors like there are no restaurants close by - this is not subjective, there are either are or there arn't restraunts near by etc. I booked one hotel wanting B+B only this time around to savour local restraunts and read more than one recent review conflicting with others saying eating in the hotel was the only option. On arrival I found at least 4 restraunts (that didn't look like they had been built last month) on the door step with a few more a short walk away.

Having read the review of that hotel, they are at least all consistent! Errgghh.
