My parents are looking to relocate, they've mainly used Rightmove to look for property.

Other than Rightmove I've also come across, Zoopla and FindaProperty. Any other recommendations for property websites?

It's harder to find enough decent properties to shortlist. They haven't as decided on a specific location (which makes it more challenging) but they are looking at a number of areas including:

Gerrards Cross
Denham
Ickenham
Pinner
Northwood
Bushey / Nascott Wood
Beaconsfield
Farnham Common / Farnham Royal

They're both retired so aren't tied to a specific area, although they want to be in close proximity to M25 / M40 on the Western side of Greater London.

We found rightmove.co.uk the best one to use.
All the others seemed to want to be it

Trevor Kent has specialised in the South Bucks area for years (though I've had no dealings with him myself).

TREVOR KENT & CO

He was head of the National Association of Estate Agents for many years, so is a reputable chap.

Rightmove will be the best place to start.

However, some agents won't use rightmove as they find the fees too much.

The trick is to find out which agents don't subscribe to rightmove and keep an eye on their websites in conjumction with RM.

Even better would be to establish links with agents that operate in the area that they are looking at and they will call when something suitable comes on their books.

I think that's the longest shortlist I've even seen. The wife and I usually zone in one area then narrow it down to a handful of streets before we even start looking properly.

But to answer your question we've used both Rightmove and Primelocation to do broadish sweeps - then we've befriended whichever agents dominates any given area.

Yes, you're absolutley right. Their brief was close to M40 / M25, easy access to Motorways and train connections.

Last time they moved 20+ years ago, they were specifically looking at a specific / single postcode area and within that just a few specific streets.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've tried primelocation now and it's not too bad. They've viewed another two houses since, it's looking promising so far.

+1

Between checking rightmove, findaproperty and also primelocation on a daily basis, and subscribing to their updates, we were lucky enough to find a suitable property earlier this year. Rightmove was the pick of the bunch though.

Good luck with the search.

You may also want to consider these nearby areas, I did when I was still working in Langley and Uxbridge.
