After getting my brake pads changed and poly V belt replaced by Alf203 yesterday the car was struggling to start today. I plugged in the OBD and low and behold the glowplug controller module seems to have gone. If its not covered by MB warranty Terry here I come.

so far steve

-oxygen sensor - warranty
- 1 glow plug

- now glow plug relay possibly - i cleared the fault if it comes back or there is problems starting the car in the morning then i know what i got to do.

-Changed the ATF- As previous owner had not done it
-Barrel bush changed under warranty when discovered in service.
-Brake pads and poly v done yesterday.

Most of the issues seem to be wear and tear no real massive problems but even these are becoming annoying as hell!

Sounds a familiar story!

1. Main crankshaft bearing failed - warranty
2. EGR failed - warranty
3. Front passenger window regulator failed - warranty

Total bill - over £3K!! Thank God all paid for under warranty.

Makes you think doesn't it.....

I matched your crankshaft bearing and raise you 3 inlet port shut off motors and two rear springs.

I think you would find the bearing costs £7 with £2800 labour and vat.

barry hows the cls holding up now?
I really don't want to say too much as I hate the idea of tempting fate, but...so far so good.... :D

(CLS knows it's on it's last life - maybe it's playing safe.. LOL!)
