How can I retrofit DISTRONIC in a GLC 300 2020

Hello,

I would like to know how to retrofit the radar in this car. Also if there is any tool like fordscan for this model to code the required stuff.

I have seen that I just need to install the radar and the buttons, then enable via OBDII. Does this enable other thigns like lane assist or blind spot warnings? Do I need other sensors?

Which part the chinesse buttons or the radar from junk yard from a crasshed GLC? I mean checking the few docu I can find is quite straight fordward to do. Just need to know if there is something similar for fordscan for GLC

STAR/Xentry but you'll need a subscription for the code files that MB only give to genuine workshops. Although I'm not sure they allow this anymore...

I doubt it MB have it tied down pretty tight

Generally speaking MB's don't have the same ease of coding as you'd find with ,for example , VW group

Carly won't code MB; it'll read and reset error codes etc, but that's about it.

The hardware part is the one that I have seen easy. Reading this a checking here and there looks easy to have the radar and the buttons installed.

My understanding is the codes required for functions/options are held in files that are only held on MB servers.

You simply cannot carry this out without a live connection to the Mercedes Star /Xentry system as already described. You, as an individual would not be given such access to the system.


Plus retrofitting would not be allowed by Mercedes as the potential for litigation would be significant. If you want this feature on a Mercedes then the only way is to by a vehicle with it fitted by the factory.

Hum, OK looks like official tools are discarded. However those ain’t the only way.

By now I think that I have enough info but as i was told several post up it is not allowed to mention anything about ninjas u other unofficial Xentry here.

It is in deed extremely expensive but the car is a good deal and add 1k for this usefull feature doesn’t make it bad.
