how do i get to back of cig lighter

Hi
I refitted my radio in my e 320 cdi and i think i might of accidently pulled a connector off the back of my cigar lighter , as it now is not wrking , i use it for my satnav , , how do i remove it to check the wires , ive looked but i cant see how the surround its in , comes off .
also now my fan does not work either , ive checked all the fuses and they are all ok .. car is w210 e class

Sorry I can't help but you could try removing the shades.

You might have to remove the radio again.Thinking you have catched one of the connectors .

Don't know if Haynes do a manual for the 210 ?

If they do , they normally show how to take the interior apart , besides being useful for lots of other jobs :)

You need to start with the trim around the gear shift and work forward and up. It's quite straightforward with mainly pozidrive screws. That link above shows all you needs to know.

The trim around the gear shift doesn’t have to come off first, as illustrated below on a W202.

all fixed thanks , the connector had come off the cig lighter , only prob now is i have no fan , it comes on for about 5 secs then stops , ive checked fuses , all ok , the 1,s in the fuse compartment in the engine bay ..
