Many Thanks Graeme.

IIRC, after that you have to run a registry checker and remove any mention of Norton or Symantec, you also have to use Windows Explorer to go through the entire directory listing of C:\ to get rid of the remaining Norton and Symantec directories. It's a PITA big style! I had to do it about 4 years ago when I finally dumped Norton in favour of Kaspersky - I've not regretted the change!

Norton is a parasite, I hate it with a vengeance!

My PC came with Norton pre-installed. Kept it for a couple of years until I realised there were much better programs around.
Tried to uninstall it but it was a bu**er and in the end I simply deleted most traces manually.
Just run this uninstall program and at last its all gone.
Thanks to Grober...........................

I think that Norton is a bit like AOL in that it is hard to eliminate completely. It was on Mrs Ringways Mums machine and the advice from Grober did the trick, although it was like one of those horror films in that after the re-boot Norton reared its ugly head and brought up a re-install Norton screen. AAAARGH! I declined the offer and now the beast is dead. :thumb:
