How do I tell if my car has sports suspension?

Looking at drop lins etc, and it says some are not suitable for cars with sports suspension.

Mine is a 2003 CLK 320 Avantgarde convertible.

Are you sure? Mine is avantgarde spec and when I ordered it you could have 17 inch alloys (saiph design) or a different wheel design (adharaz I think) with sports suspension. I drove one with this set up and it was certainly firmer than mine. Min is only a humble 200k so perhaps the 320 is different.

Normally, Avantgarde means sports suspension, but maybe not on the CLK.

A Datacard check would reveal all.

Just found the old brochure. It would appear avant-garde on a CLK was cosmetic only. Like almost everyone else I thought the suspension was lowered a little. Apparently not. Sports suspension including lower ride height was optional. Prior to the facelift it could only be combined with one wheel style.

There was also AMG suspension listed for the W209, mine had it on the data card. (Avantgarde).

You have 16 inch wheels. It wont have sports suspension.
