1998 S202 250TD. Prior to swapping out the seats, I need to know if I have the simple resistive sensor that can be linked out or the CANBUS type which I expect will be in the new seats. Can anybody help, please? While I can design a CANBUS module, I really do have better things to do with my time so the plan would be: If it is resistive, link it over. System thinks adult in seat so airbag is armed. If it isn't, expect W210 seat to be plug and play and hope it's sensor will work. The CANBUS that works the new seats will almost certainly not be installed but a simple chunk of silicon and a box of relays will drive all the motors from the switchgear in the doors.
So again, does anybody have any idea which systems I am likely to have in my 250, please?

The 202 seat had a 2 pin connector and so did the W210, to my surprise. Plug and play.
