Im retrofitting a dension ipod interface. The Dension unit has a standard fibre optic cable on it, terminating in a normal fibre optic plug. What I need to know is will this simply plug into the back of a comand 2.0 or do i need a plug of some description from the main dealer. Obviously I could take a look, but would rather have all the parts before I start taking car to bits.

Thanks in advance.

You take 4 people standing around in a circle and when a 5th person enters you break the ring and let the fith person hold hands to make the ring larger.

You just need to carefully follow the instruction manual, taking note of which d2b plug is which in the diagrams. You shouldn't need any extra bits over and above what comes with it.
Fitted one myself (assuming its the GW500 we're talking about) to my Audio10 - didn't understand what was connecting to what, but it just worked.

Miro - you may be an absolute star. In typing that, I've just realised - the Dension comes with TWO d2b harness - one for normal stereo, one for COMAND. When I tried fitting my COMAND last night - see other thread - I didn't change the harness!! Gawd, I hope this is the cause of my problem!!
Going out on the town tonight, unfortunately, so I'll be in suspense till tomorrow.....

So you need an 80 cent plug. You need to specify straight, 90 degrees or joiner to the parts department or one of each I suppose.
